Hundreds of investors, who have deposited money with the Sahara India, staged a demonstration in front of State Assembly in Bhubaneswar on Saturday demanding intervention of the State Government in getting their deposits back.According to the agitators, more than 20 lakh depositors from Odisha have invested around Rs 2,000 crore with the company. Though, maturity period of the deposits has ended and they have applied for the repayment of their savings, the company is allegedly soft pedaling on the disbursement of the money. “We had deposited our hard-earned money under different schemes of the company. The maturity period of the deposit has ended. But despite waiting for the repayment for a long time, the company is turning a deaf year to our pleas.
