Rajya Sabuja Patrikadhari Unnayana Parishada’s (RSPUP) mass agitation here, pressing for various demands, was on the sixth day on Wednesday.
Parishad president Debaraj Nayak alleged that though an inter-Ministerial committee was formed on the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on November 18, 2018 to look into their demands, but so far it has done nothing. As a result, the members have been forced to resort to agitation again from February 1.
On the second day of the Green Card Holders’ agitation, a delegation led by Nayak met the inter-ministerial committee over the issue which sought seven days time. Nayak threatened to intensify the stir if the demands are not met soon.
