The district administration on Thursday sealed a private hospital in Sambalpur town for five days after a woman of the Sunapali area, who underwent three-day treatment at the facility tested Covid-19 positive.
The Sanjeevani Hospital at Cheruapada was sealed by the Sambalpur Municipal Corporation and police personnel following the woman’s samples tested positive during test.
Also, 32 persons from the hospital including owner Purusottam Agarwal were sent on quarantine. Most of the patients undergoing treatment at the hospital were discharged.
Patients who are in critical condition at the hospital would be shifted to other hospitals with the help of the district administration, said a doctor of Sanjeevani Hospital.
So far, a total of 214 persons from the district have tested positive for the virus.
