A poor orphan youth of Balishankara block of the district, Laba Kujur, who had gone to work as a bonded labour at Mangalore in Karnataka, died after drowning in the sea there.
The body of the youth is yet to be brought back to his native place in Sundargarh for cremation. After coming to know about the youth’s death Talsara MLA BS Bhoi spoke to the Sundargarh Collector on Monday afternoon for providing support to bring his body to his village.
Reports said the district administration is making necessary arrangements to bring Kujur’s body to his village.
Collector Nikhil Kalyan said the administration would provide all the required support. If required an ambulance would be sent from here to bring back the youth’s body to his village.
