A district level workshop- cum- review meeting of rural housing schemes, 14th FCA and 4th SFC, was held at Sinapali of Nuapada district on Saturday. The workshop was organised by the DRDA, Nuapada, for training and orientation of sarpanches of the district. DRDA Project Director Pradip Naik, District Panchayat Officer lD Pradhan, District Project Manager of Odisha livelihood Mission George Kirkita along with Bidesh Ghosh and Jitendra Sahu attended as resource persons.
The participants interacted with the officials to know about the schemes in detail and also spoke about the problems in implementation of schemes.
“Delay in payment of wage under MGNREGS is discouraging the workers to work,” said the participants. Tiknu Dal, a wage earner of Khaira village of Boden block, was felicitated for completing 200 days of work under MGNREGS. “He is the first person in Odisha to achieve the target,” said the PD. Tiknu was given a shawl and a certificate. PD Naik was felicitated by the sarpanches for taking 1st position in the State in implementation of the rural housing schemes.
