Three unidentified bike-borne miscreants looted `9 lakh from a businessman at gunpoint in the Mastiput area of the district on Friday night.
According to a complaint lodged at the Sadar police station of the district, the businessman V Bhaskar Rao was travelling with his colleague in a car when the incident occurred.
Rao in his complaint alleged that he was carrying `9.60 lakh and was on the Koraput-Jeypore main road when three
bike-borne miscreants intercepted their car near Mastiput area. The miscreants then robbed them of the cash at gun point, he said.
