A team of the Veera Surendra Sai (VSS) Nagar Unayan Parishad led by general secretary Dillip Dashsharma on Monday met Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty and urged him to take necessary steps for re-operation of the police outpost at the VSS Nagar.
Dashsharma said the police outpost had operated at the VSS Nagar area for the last 40 years, but it was shifted to the Saheed Nagar police station five years ago due to lack of accommodation.
The outpost is working meaninglessly at the Saheed Nagar police station now, he said.
Among others, Parishad joint secretary Nimai Charan Das and Pratap Kumar Nanda were present.
