Two officers of the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) were suspended on Saturday following the death of a 25-year-old Junior Manager of the plant in an accident in the RSP premises on Friday. S Raunaq Junior Manager, Hot Strip Mill Operation, had come to duty in A shift at around 9 am when a slab was being transported with the help of a magnetic crane for placement on the roller table. The slab fell on him and he died. A bachelor, he hailed from Hyderabad. Following the incident, a high-level enquiry committee was constituted which found negligence of two officers in this case. They are RK Parida, DGM (Electrical) and B Tigga, Manager (Departmental Safety).
