The Tentulikhunti police in Nabarangpur district on Sunday arrested a person for possessing fake currencies of face value of Rs72,500 in different denominations.
The accused was identified as Sadasiva Harijan of Barmajhiguda under the police station.
Acting on a tip off, a police team raided the house of Sadasiva and seized the counterfeit notes. His mother and sister were too detained, said IIC Bisikeshana Nayak.
The accused has links with Nandini Harijan, who has been recently arrested with fake currency by the Patangi Police in Koraput district.
