Even though more than 24 hours have passed since some miscreants looted Rs 77 lakh from two places, Damana square here and Biribadi square under Khordha district’s Tangi police limits, the police are still clueless about the looters' identity in both the cases.
“We have formed three special teams to nab the culprits and basing on the description of the eyewitnesses, we have issued sketches,” said Bhubaneswar DCP Niteenjit Singh. Khordha Superintendent of Police Dayanidhi Gochhayat too informed that three special squads were formed to track the gang. Notably, the miscreants robbed employees of Aditya Care Hospial of Rs 18 lakh, including a cheque of Rs 1 lakh, in front of the Andhra Bank at Damana and, in the second incident, another group looted Rs 60 lakh from SBI employees at Biribati square in the broad daylight.
