A group of unidentified miscreants allegedly looted Rs 14 lakh at gunpoint from a sponge iron company in the posh Civil Township area on Friday. A group of about six miscreants barged into the office of Visal Ferro Alloys at sector-17 and at gunpoint attacked accountant Abhisek Jaiswal, who was alone present in the office at that time.
Taking the key from him, they quickly collected the cash and fled. Being informed, a police team led by DSP Rashmikanta Mishra rushed to the spot. Injured Jaiswal was rushed to the Ispat General Hospital. The police are yet to nab the culprits.
