The State Government collected mining revenue of Rs 10,479.18 crore in 2018-19 compared to Rs 6,130.97 crore in the preceding financial year.
Steel and Mines Minister Prafulla Kumar Mallick informed this in the State Assembly in response to a question of Congress MLA Suresh Routray on Monday.
According to the data furnished by the Minister, while mining revenue of Rs 3,330.37 crore had been collected in 2010-11, Rs 4,586.65 collected in 2011-12, 5,679.35 crore in 2012-13, Rs 5,519.58 crore in 2013-14, Rs 5,335.05 crore in 2014-15, Rs 5,797.79 crore in 2015-16 and
Rs 4,925.66 crore.
