Vigilance officials on Wednesday raided the office and residences of Basant Kumar Bastia, Junior Engineer, Rural Works Section, Boinda in Angul district, on the allegation of possession of assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Bastia’s residential double-storied building at Sithala village under the Niali police station in Cuttack district, four-storied building at Sithala, a house of his relative at Sithala and his office room and official residence at Badahulla Boinda village in Angul district were searched. During search, assets of Rs 1.90 crore including one four-storied building, one double-storied building.
