PNS

Hundreds of locals  ransacked a private nursing home here on Saturday evening alleging attributing death of one 8-month- old boy to wrong treatment. The baby was admitted at the nursing home on Saturday morning.

Tension continued to prevail in the nursing home premises and senior police officials reached the spot and attempted to calm down the protesters, but in vain.

Susanta Khan, a native of Railway colony area of the city had admitted his son in Asta Nursing home of the city, with complaint of cold and cough. The doctors had reportedly conducted several tests and administered one injection. Khan alleged that condition of his son had deteriorated after administration of the injection.

The doctors had advised them to take the patient to Ispat General  Hospital. Accordingly the family members had taken him to IGH but the doctors at IGH had declared the baby as brought dead.

Getting the news, locals of Railway colony rushed to Asta nursing home and ransacked it. The agitating public demanded immediate actions against the doctors and staff of the nursing home.
