The installation ceremony of the Rotary of Club of Bhubaneswar Royal was held here on Saturday.
Newly elected president Sukumar Patnaik took charges from outgoing president Ashokanand Dhar at the programme held jointly by the Rotary Royal and the Inner Wheel Clubs.
Patnaik announced plans to implement Swachh Bharat programme and to take up literacy and plantation activities in schools. He too stated that 1,000 eye operations would be conducted during his stint.
Former district Governor Rajani Mukherjee and senior journalist Sandip Mishra gracing as guests talked about Rotary services. Former president Prasanna lenka and Sanjay Choudhury coordinated the programme. Club Secretary Manmohan Panda gave a vote of thanks.
Among others, former district governor Sibabrata Das, former secretary Pradeep Kumar Das and Rotary media cell chairman Bibhuti Bhushan Kar were present.
