Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) DGM and RSP Executive Association president NK Samantray has been elected as the president of the Steel Executives’ Federation of India (SEFI) for next two years defeating Durgapur Steel Plant Executive Association president Debasish lahiri by 26-19 votes.
Expressing their happiness over Samantray’s victory for a respectable post, many RSP executives said that under his leadership the SEFI would be more strengthened, and with amicable discussions with the SAIl management many problems relating to the steel executives would be sorted out smoothly.
It is to be noted that after 2006, Samantray is the first RSP executive to be elected as SEFI president. Brahma Mishra of the RSP was the SEFI president in 2004-06, and prior to that Suresh Gupta of the RSP was the SEFI president.
