For last forty-five years, the author as a doctor has watched the progress and development in medical science from close quarters. Diabetes and cancer stand out prominently among the ailments. WhyIJ
For diabetes, we know the answer, but for the exponential rise in the incidence of cancer it is difficult to explain. Maybe, people are living longer and paying the price or it’s a manmade epidemic!
The beneficiaries of these two diseases are the hospitals and their staffs and pharmaceutical industries. More people are employed in health industries than all steel plants put together! The zoom in hospital industry is the reflection of our sick society. Every street in India has a temple, an alcohol shop or a nursing home. The ICU and trauma centres thrive on accident cases. Every year, one reads about seminars and workshops on cancer. Plenty of media coverage on award of certificates and cash prizes, etc., but truly speaking the incidence of cancer has gone hundred times and cure of it is hardly 5 to 20 per cent depending on the type of cancer. The book says if a person survives for five years or more is declared as cure. Really if the life span is a hundred years!
All over the world, millions of cancer patients are killed due to toxicity of drugs and not due to the primary disease. Patients are suffering. A majority of cancer patients in India rush to Mumbai to get humiliated and tortured by touts and come back bankrupt. There is a big fixing type of nexus in operation at each level, which is difficult to check. A majority of Indians are expert in judicial arguments; hence, few get punished.
Instead of focussing on the preventive measures, more energy and money is spent on development of newer and toxic drugs. What the foreigners say is being carried out by our cancer specialists in India. Neither we invent any new drugs nor do any research on any subjects. We only do ‘re-search’. The population control in India will be through RTA, cancer and diabetes; this is an unpalatable truth! With a sword hanging over our head, is it advisable to have a small familyIJ Our planners and intellectuals must discuss and formulate laws. like any epidemic, cancer epidemic one day will ruin human race in the name of development!
