Vigilance sleuths on Thursday arrested Kandhamal district’s Chakapada tehsil Sankarakhol RI Sanjaya Kumar Sahu and Subarnapur distict’s Binka tehsil Kaudiamunda ARI Jogeswar Mohananda for taking illegal gratifications. Sankarakhola RI was caught red-handed taking bribe of Rs 3,000 from Subala Kumar Mallick of Kambrikia under Tikabali PS to submit enquiry report regarding land holding certificate in favour of his elder father. Similarly, the Kaudiamunda ARI was caught red-handed accepting illegal gratification of Rs 2,000 from Tony Rassel of Kuluthkani village under Dhanupali police station for issuance of fresh land revenue receipt in respect of the land purchased by him.
The residential house of Mohananda at Burumunda under the Sonepur PS was under search, said the release.
