City-based Gurujana Parishad has decided to make a vision document on Odisha, which will complete 100 years in 2036, and initiate action accordingly in a planned way.
In this context, the committee for Odisha Vision-2036, which was earlier formed under the chairmanship of former Income Tax Commissioner Kartik Chandra Chand, held a preparatory meeting here on Wednesday.
At the meeting, views on the vision document given by several intellectuals like Election Commission of India Senior Advisor Dr Bhagavan Prakash, former Information Commissioner Jagadananda, columnist Sudarshan Das, social activist Nirakar Beura and Human Rights activist Akhanda were taken into consideration. It was decided to organise a complete brain-storming session on November 25 involving intellectuals from various fields.
It has also been decided that the document will have broad guidelines to develop the State economically, morally, socially and politically to build Odisha as a powerful State in the country, said Parishad secretary Dr Sadananda Dikshita.
