'Reschedule JEE Advance, OUAT entrance exams date'

PNS

Students, who have applied for both the JEE Advance examinations and the Odisha University of Agriculture Technology (OUAT) Entrance examinations, are now a worried lot as both the tests have been scheduled for May 25.

Though students have demanded rescheduling of any one of the two examinations, management authorities of both the examinations are reluctant to change their schedule.

Notably, 3,200 students in the State would appear in the JEE Advance test, conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), on May 25.

However, the CBSE authorities have ruled out any possibility of rescheduling of the test since it is conducted in the national level.

On the other hand, OUAT Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoranjan Kar has also said that there would be no change in the examination schedule. “We had announced the date of the entrance examinations six month ago for which 25,000 students have applied,” Kar said, adding, “There might be a few students who are interested in agro engineering for which we cannot put all the students in trouble.”
