Regional Transport Office at Brahmapur demanded

PNS

The Manav Adhikar Surakshya Manch on Saturday submitted a memorandum to the Revenue Divisional Commissioner, Southern Division, seeking opening of a Regional Transport Office (RTO) here at the earliest.

“Brahmapur is the main city of Ganjam district in terms of road communications and traffic. As more people depend on the city, a RTO office needs to be established here. The only RTO office at the district headquarters town, Chhatrapur   doesn’t serve the purpose of the whole district. As the population of the city has crossed five lakh and many people from the city come here daily, opening of an RTO office is felt a necessity here,” the Manch mentioned in the memorandum.

The Manch suggested that the office be opened at the new BDA building located near the RDC’s official residence.

Manch coordinator Abani Kumar Gaya, Prasant Das, Maguni Nahak, Padma lochan Mohapatra, Siba Prasad Mishra, Bansidhar Nayak and Suresh Bishoi were the signatories, among others.
