The Indian Red Cross Society Odisha State Branch reached out to the cyclone Yaas victims in Kendrapada district and distributed dry foods among the affected communities on Thursday.
Under the active coordination of the society’s Honorary Secretary CTM Suguna, a team of Red Cross members and volunteers went to the cyclone shelters at Bagapatia, Satabhaya and Rangani villages under Rajanagar block in Kendrapada district and distributed the food materials such as flattened rice, jaggery, chatua and biscuit pockets and also masks, matchboxes and water bottles. The dry food distribution was done in the presence of Rajnagar BDO Rabindra Kumar Pradhan and Tehsildar Bholanath Sethy. Junior Red Cross Officer Laxman Swain coordinated relief operation.
