The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has recruited record number of 875 out of 1,450 eligible students from the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER) of the SOA University here.
This is the biggest ever recruitment made from a single institute by the company in the Eastern Region, said Placement Head and ITER Additional Dean Dr Raj Kumar Hota. The students selected for the recruitment were from BTech, MCA and MTech streams of the 2016 pass out batch, he added.
TCS had earlier recruited 727 students from the 2012 batch during its visit to the ITER campus. Besides,
companies like TVS Motors, Deloitte, Mu Sigma and Calsoft have visited the institute this year offering its students salary packages exceeding Rs5 lakh per annum; the highest being Rs7 lakh by Calsoft, Hota said.
