Asks political parties for list of booth-level workers
The Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC), Central Range Mahendra Kumar Mallick held a meeting with Khordha district Collector Nirmal Chandra Mishra and political party representatives and discussed various aspects relating to simultaneous Lok Sabha and Assembly elections likely to be held in first quarter of 2019.
Among others, Additional District Magistrate Manoranjan Mallik, Sub-Collector Saroj Kumar Sahoo and Bhubaneswar Sub-Collector Manas Ranjan Samal were present.
Mallik urged the party representatives to submit their booth level workers’ names to the Presiding Officer well before the election notification so that election can be held in free and fair manner. Assuring all cooperation, the party representatives urged the Collector to provide the soft and hard copies of electoral roll so that they can be able to find out fault in the list and recommend rectification to the presiding officer.
Later Mishra assured the representatives that the electoral rolls would be provided at right time. Among others, Khordha District Information and Public Relations Officer Surajit Mishra was present.
