Police on Thursday arrested two accused in a rape case. They were identified as Parasu Munda and lolo Soren andforwarded them to court.
Munda and Soren had raped a married woman in broad daylight, by entering into her house, when she was alone.
Hundreds locals, including a large number of women, had staged a demonstration in front of Sundargarh town police station on Tuesday, demanding immediate arrest of the two accused.
According to sources, as per the complaint filed by one married woman, the accused had reportedly threatened her of dire consequences, if she lodged a complaint with police.
The victim women had intimated the development to her neighbours, after departure of the accused and later to her husband.
On Sunday evening, the accused woman along with her husband had reached Sundargarh town police station and had intimated police officials about the rape orally.
