Education of children deserves more emphasis as they are the future of our country, said Union Minister of Human Resource Development Dr M Mangapati Pallam Raju at the 7th foundation day ceremony of the KiiT International School here on Tuesday.
Dr Raju was the chief guest of the occasion, which was also graced by local MP PK Patasani, Minister for School and Mass Education RN Nanda and acclaimed author Ruskin Bond, who is also the brand ambassador of the school.
Dr Raju said, “Time has now come to empower our children for becoming responsible citizens. We have to provide them good-quality education and need to have competent teachers for this. Government enacted Right to Education as a Fundamental Right three years ago and the positive impact of this move is now visible.”
Dr Raju commended Founder of KIIT & KISS Dr A Samanta for his efforts to bring about empowerment through education. Nanda also thanked Dr Samanta for his efforts towards value-added education in the State.
