Former BJD MlA Alekh Jena at a public meeting in Rajnagar on Tuesday accused the ruling party of neglecting him and hinted at joining the BJP.
At the meeting, the former Rajnagar MlA’s supporters shouted slogans in favour of the BJP and said the date of joining the saffron party would be decided after consultations with the Union Minister.
Jena said he and his supporters have worked dedicatedly worked for the party in the constituency.
Many people were rehabilitated by the party in different posts. But he was sidelined. Whatever decision his party workers and supporters take he would abide by that. This has led to apprehension that he might quit the BJD and join the BJP.
Notably, during the Assembly elections in 2014, Jena was deprived of the party ticket at the last moment.
