The Regional Office of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Tuesday predicted rainfall, thunderstorm accompanied with gusty wind and lightning in several parts of the State in the next 24 hours.
“Several parts of Odisha including coastal parts would experience rainfall in next 24 hours. Besides, moderate rain is likely to occur at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Rayagada and Kandhamal districts,” said an IMD official.
According to IMD, thunderstorm along with gusty wind and lightning would occur in Baleswar, Bhadrak, Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur districts in the 24 hours.The weather office also warned the fishermen of Balesewar and Bhadrak districts not to venture into the sea for the next couple of days.
