Jagadguru Sankarcharya of Puri Gobardhan Pith Swami Nischilananda Saraswati would not be able to participate in the Snana Yatra of the Lords on Monday because of health reasons.
As per a release issued by Gobardhan Math, the Sankarcharya is presently under post-surgery care in a Gujarat hospital. However, he would be available for the Rath Yatra (Car Festival) on July 4 as he would be back in Puri on July 2.
Notably, the Sankarcharya had undergone a knee transplant surgery on June 2 in a hospital in Baroda.
