local BJD leaders lambasted the Union Government for’partisan attitude’ towards Odisha on the occasion of the party’s foundation day observed here on Saturday.
They alleged that the Centre is yet to release cyclone and dorought assistances to the State while it has released huge funds to Tamil Nadu, Jammu and Kashmir, Andhra Pradesh and West Bengal.
This apart, the Centre has neglected the State in providing funds for infrastructural development and rail network. A befitting reply would be given in the coming panchayat polls, they said.
The district’s all BJD MlAs, Maheswar Moahanty, Pradip Maharathy, Sanjay Dasburma, Sameer Ranjan Dash and Surendra Sethi, Zilla Parishad president Dibakar Patra, Puri Municipality Chairman Jayant Kumar Sadangi and leader Ramaranjan Bliarsingh spoke.
