A team of Crime Branch police on Friday interrogated Punjilal Meher, the sole accused in the Patnagarh parcel bomb blast case in which two persons had died and another was injured.
Taken on remand for six days, the investigating officers quizzed Meher in custody for nearly six hours here. The findings of the police interrogations were. however, not known.
A teacher of a Balangir College, Meher had been brought here on Thursday after the police’s remand prayer was allowed by a court.
Sources said the investigating team would try to dig deep into the motive and modus operandi of Meher and also try to ascertain if anyone else was involved in this brazen criminal act.
Meher apparently had sent the parcel bomb to a woman colleague’s house as he was nurturing a personal grudge against her.
