Setting on roll the pre-puja violence in the city, a puja committee secretary here received minor injuries when two unidentified persons threw a bomb and fired two rounds at him here at Bajrakabati Road on Saturday morning.
Police said the Mali Sahi puja committee secretary Bijay Rout (42) was the target of the miscreants. But he escaped with minor sprinkler injuries in his legs. “We have registered a case and investigating into it,” said the Mangalabag police inspector AK Swain adding that the assailants have been identified.
