After the news under caption "Anganwadi worker job scam: K'jhar locals lodge plaint against CDPO" published in The Pioneer on August 1, a genuine candidate has got the posting.
On July 5, the CDPO, Joda had invited application for Anganwadi worker in Kundurpani village.
For eligibility, it was also mentioned that a candidate must be a permanent resident of the area where the Anganwadi centre is located but at the time of selection, a candidate who was not a permanent resident, was included.
In this regard, other candidates had alleged before the Sub-Collector ,Champua and the BDO, Joda but ignoring the allegations, CDPO Renuka Swain had conducted an interview secretly where the disputed candidate was allowed to attend the interview only. When other candidates reached the venue, they were not allowed.
However, thanks to Sub- Collector, Champua Gaurahari Behera who, after the news published in this paper, immediately ordered for an inquiry and later cancelled the list prepared by the CDPO, Joda and ordered for a fresh selection. Now one Geeta Tiria has been selected for the post.
