While some employees of the Trahi Achyuta Ashram were questioned here by the Crime Branch police on Monday, the sleuths took godman Sura Baba’s elder son Trilochan Mishra on a further remand of three more days.
A Bhubaneswar court on the day allowed the Crime Branch to take Trilochan on remand while Sura Baba and his younger son Biranchi were sent to jail on judicial custody. The six-day police remand in two phases of the trio had ended on Monday. Sources said since the investigating cops have not completed the probes into the financial dealings of the ashram and the adjoining residential complex, Biranchi, who was handling them, was taken on further remands for quizzing under custody.
It was further learnt that at least ten more residents of Achyuta Nagar have been summoned by the Crime Branch to appear before a team of sleuths on Tuesday. Around 50 residents have been shortlisted to be quizzed to establish the financial irregularities pertaining to the lands and buildings coming up at Achyuta Nagar.
