The Khordha District and Sessions Court here on Friday deferred bail plea hearing of Banki BJD MlA Pravat Tripathy, who is in judicial custody in chit fund case, to November 27, sources said.
Earlier, the Special CBI Court had rejected Pravat’s bail plea. later, the MlA’s counsel filed a bail petition before the Khordha District and Sessions Court.Notably, the Banki MlA was arrested by the CBI on October 31 on the charges of criminal conspiracy and taking huge sums of funds from the Artha Tatwa (AT) Group.On the very next day, the CBI took the MlA on a 14-day remand to interrogate about his link with AT group chief Pradeep Sethy.
