Pramath Patnaik will be a new judge of the Odisha High Court. The Presidential warrant of appointment of Patnaik reached the HC Registry here on Wednesday. He is likely to be sworn in as an additional judge of the HC later this week.
A postgraduate from the Delhi University, Patnaik obtained his law degree from the University law College of Vani Vihar in 1986 and began practising in the Odisha High Court from the same year.
Currently working as the Government Advocate in the Bhubaneswar Bench of the State Administrative Tribunal, 55-year-old Patnaik has also worked for a considerable period as Additional Standing Counsel and Additional Government Advocate in the Odisha HC.
The function related to the same will be held in the city in presence of other dignitaries.
