Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan would launch the Pradhan Mantri MUDRA (Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency) Yojana, which aims at funding the unfunded, for the State here on Friday.
BJP leader Bhrugu Buxipatra said this at a Press conference here on Thursday morning. Buxipatra said small entrepreneurs like tea stall owners and street vendor can avail loans from the MUDRA scheme to carry out their businesses though nationalised banks.
To facilitate small entrepreneurs of Ganjam district, the Andhra Bank has been identified and the Union Bank of India would act as the lead bank for the MUDRA in Odhisa, he informed.
Entrepreneurs are divided into three categories under the scheme and they can avail loans from Rs 50,000 to Rs 10 lakh on the basis of their categories.
