If the Odisha Government and the State Agriculture Department cooperate and lend support, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas would set up another ethanol fuel plant in Kendrapada, after the one in Bargarh, said Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan while addressing a poll rally in the district.

Pradhan on Tuesday paid a visit to  Panthuri village under Dihapada gram panchayat of Zilla Parisad Zone 16 in Pattamundai block for campaigning. He appealed voters to elect  Swapnarani Khandei, the BJP party candidate of  Zilla Parishad Zone-16. District BJP president Sukant Dwivedy and BJP leader Bishnu Das also attended.

While addressing about a gathering of 3,000 people, Pradhan said that the coastal Kendrapada district has its own special importance in the State. He expressed confidence of the BJP’s continuous victory after its encouraging performance in the first phase of the election on February 13. “The downtrodden, daily wagers and poverty stricken people of India have reposed faith on Prime Minister, Modi ji. We have to see Kendrapada district grows and leads from the front,” said Pradhan.

He said the Central Government’s strategy is simple. The funds given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi would reach at the village level and the poor would get the benefits directly from the Central Government projects of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Ujjala Yojana etc, he asserted.

Hitting out the Odisha Government, he said the BJD Government has been obstructing common people’s access to these Central projects and schemes for vested interest. He appealed the people to discard the BJD Government and replace it with the BJP.
