With the Eastern States home to 80 per cent reserves of coal, iron, bauxite, a long coastline and skilled workforce, a common strategy for growth of all five Eastern States, including Odisha is required for development of the entire region, said Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at the valedictory ceremony of the CII”s ‘Enterprise Odessa’ here on Tuesday.
Speaking on Odisha’s growing reputation as an attractive investment destination, he said the beautiful handicrafts made in Odisha can hit the global market instantaneously through e-commerce. Nalco CMD TK Chand said the aluminium major would soon come out with a new MSME procurement policy focusing on Odisha. He also said the company in partnership with the IDCOl plans to set up an Aluminium Park over 450 acres.
