Authorities of the Paradip Port Trust and industrial houses as well as local BJP leaders have expressed their gratitude to Railway Minister DV Sadananda Gowda for provisioning trains in the Railway Budget to run in the Paradip-Howdah and Paradip-Visakhapatnam routes once a week.
PPT Chairman SS Mishra, IFFCO ED Gandhi, IOCl ED Utpal Sen, Essar Steel Project Director and PPl GM PK Panda thanked Gowda and the Railway Board for the trains. The PPl officials had been demanding running of trains from Paradip to the south and north-east cities.Similarly, BJP leaders like Diptirekha Nayak, Sukanta Mohanty and Manindra Guru thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gowda and the party leadership stating that introduction of trains in the two routes would be very helpful to people.
