A day after the State Government imposed stock holding limits on potatoes, Ganjam district administration and Civil Supplies Department officials conducted raids at different potato godowns here on Thursday.
On the direction of Sub-Collector Siddhartha Sankar Swain, the officials raided six Public Distribution System (PDS) counters in Bada Bazaar and three in Jagannathpur and some retail shops in Kamapalli Mardharaj and inspected the stock of potatoes.
Among others, SSO Kailashj Pradhan, Siva Ram Pradhan, Susanta Hotta, Market Intelligence Officer Ashok Kumar Mohanty, MI Inspector Yogesh Nayak, MI Pramod Kumar Mallik and Ranjan Sethi were present during the raids.
