'Post efficient officer as BMC Commissioner'

PNS

The Forum for Ganjam, an organisation of intellectuals, political leaders and general public, on Wednesday urged Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to appoint a dynamic IAS officer as BMC Commissioner so that ongoing projects would not be affected in the city.

“People of Brahmapur observed a remarkable change in the working of BMC and execution of projects after Nikhil Pravan Kalyan was appointed as Commissioner. Mainly ODRP, solid waste management, hoarding policy and system, beatification of Ramalingam Tank, night-time cleaning, Janibili projects, Rajiv Awas Yojna and some other important projects are underway. After Kalyan was transferred as Dhenkanal district Collector, people of Brahmapur want an efficient officer appointed to carry forward the projects,” a forum letter to the CM read.

Among others, Sudhir Kumar Raut, E Tejeswar Rao, J Suresh, Manash Patro, SS Khadanga, Swarajya Subudhi and PK Muni undersigned the letter.
