Police on Thursday recovered a huge pile of half-burnt documents belonging to a fraud chit fund company, Samruddha Jeevan Multi State and Multipurpose Cooperative Society limited, from a jungle in Nayagarh district.
Sources said, some people piled the documents in the jungle and set them on fire before leaving the place. On being informed by some locals, the Nayagarh police reached the spot and recovered the half-burnt documents by dousing the fire. Notably, the Samruddha Jeevan has been listed as a fraud company by the CBI probing the chit fund scam in the State.
