Odisha Mushroom Growers’ Federation Ganjam unit president B Narasingh Rao, in a letter addressed to Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Giriraj Singh, demanded implementation of a policy for skill development among youths and population control based on China-model in the country immediately.

Rao had hailed the statement given by the Union Minister during his visit to Odisha on November 4.

Notably, Singh while inaugurating a two-day national level conference on skill development organised by the Center for Study of Contemporary Societies (CSCS) at Bhubaneswar on November 4, had stressed on the need of coordinating skill development efforts among the Indian youths with innovative ideas to become entrepreneurs, as India needs over 400 million skilled people by 2020 and will add 80 million more new jobs by 2025.

Singh in his address at Gopabandhu Bhavan at Cuttack then had also stressed on the need of population control and said that India is going to enact stringent law to control population in the country soon for betterment of the nation.

Rao in his earlier memorandum submitted to the Prime Minister, the President of India, the Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India and a galaxy of constitutional heads of the State on November 1 last urged the Government to  implement a uniform policy in regard to upper age limit to enter job, uniform pay structure, uniform age limit on superannuation, abolition of all contractual appointment systems and implementation of ‘one skilled man one job policy,’ besides single child policy and abolition of reservation in job.

Rao also had appreciated the Modi-led NDA Government for implementing GST in the country with zero tax on essential commodities and food items.
