The Commissionerate police have served a notice to the IndusInd Bank’s Bomikhal branch manager K Surendra to appear before the Saheed Nagar police station IIC and the zonal ACP within 14 days to record his statement in a case of sexual harassment filed against him by a woman employee of the bank.
Meanwhile, police have recorded the statements of other female employees of the bank, who had also alleged that they too were sexually harassed by the branch manager.
“We have also sought the report of the internal inquiry conducted by the HR department of the bank. After verifying all records, action will be taken against those responsible,” said Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi.
