Hundreds of SI of Police job aspirants on Monday held a protest meeting here, demanding publication of a supplementary list of the Combined Police Service of 2013-batch at the earliest.
A notification had been issued on December 5, 2013 for conduct of “Combine Police Service” test for recruitment to 844 posts in categories of Sub-Inspector, Sergeant Deputy Subedar and Fire Station Officer. The examination result was published on December 7, 2016. However, 70 posts remained vacant as recruited candidates didn’t join. Though the posts were to be filled up in one year’s time, neither the Government nor the OSSC has not been serious in publishing supplementary list. The Government had published supplementary lists in 2009 and 2011.
