The VSS Nagar police outpost, which was shifted and operating in the Saheed Nagar police station due to lack of a building for the last four-five years, reopened in a temporary cabin in the locality on March 1.
The Veer Surendra Sai Nagar Unnayan Parisha led by its general secretary Dillip Dashsharma had made many efforts during this period. Finally, Police Commissioner Satyajit Mohanty re-inaugurated the outpost at a temporary accommodation on Friday.
Presiding over the programme, Dashsharma thanked the CP for reopening of the outpost. Local MLA Priyadarshi Mishra, DCP Anup Sahu and former Corporator Rashmita Mohanty graced as guests. Parishad vice-president Er Shiba Prasad Mishra delivered the welcome address at the outset; and the programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Parishad president Krupasindhu Sahu.
Among others, ACP Anil Mishra and Saheed Nagar IIC Biranch Pati were present.
