Following the Chief Minister’s directive to enforce Covid-19 norms strictly, police have collected fines of over Rs 25 lakh from violators in last 24 hours in the State.
A total of Rs 25,07,900 fine amount has been collected from 9,400 persons on charges of violating Covid appropriate behaviour in different parts of State on first day of special enforcement drive.Intensifying Covid-19 enforcement drive led by SPs, DCPs and senior police officers,136 platoon of forces have been engaged in entire State to carry out checking for usage of face masks and maintaining social distancing.
