The Vigilance police on Thursday caught Pruthwiraj Mishra, Assistant Sub-Inspector of the Sadar police station here, while he was taking a bribe of Rs 7,000 with the help of a middleman.
Mishra had demanded the bribe from the complainant to drop his name from a charge-sheet of a case. Later, the ASI and the middleman were arrested and taken to Cuttack to be produced in the Special Judge, Vigilance Court.
