PNS

Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his decision to develop various cities in the country as Smart Cities, voluntary and cultural organisation Prerana has urged him to make these cities greenery and pollution-free.

A team of the body led by its president Dr Dillip Shrichandan has submitted a memorandum in this regard at the Prime Minister’s Office in New Delhi. The memorandum seeks massive plantation, composting of wastages from the Smart Cities and its subsequent application to agricultural land in low-lying urban areas, prohibition of use of various chemical colours in the making of idols during various festivals and creation of separate ponds for immersion of idols to prevent pollution of rivers and other water bodies.
